Wiery

2011/ Barcelona, Spain

The main elements reused for the creation of the Wiery seat are a discarded refrigerator tube condenser (the back of the refrigerator) and a wooden pallet. The two parts of the tube condenser form the seat and the back rest, reinforced by a structure made from metal plates. The wooden slates from the pallet are glued together with a nontoxic wood glue to provide a wider surface. The design is conceived so that the wood can be cut into the two sides with minimal scrap. The sides and the seating surface are connected with big reused bolts.
